Well I had to get on here to post about my experience.
Its interesting , all the issues and all the problems that are being discussed all comes down to a vote. And, with the democrats possibly taking the majority Senate seats, and a real possible Democrat President, I think we as the people really have to get ready for what is to come in the near future for the United States.
Well now I say I have been the recipient of voter fraud, or should I say voter persuasion in the voting booth. I live in New Jersey, a state that mostly votes Democrat, so why is it that even at the booth there is someone who is trying to sway my vote Democrat? In Camden, I went to a local school where my parents and I went to vote early this morning. After getting our slip and signing our names we were in line to vote. Already there was a problem, at around 6:40am one of the booths had a error and was out of order so everyone was using one booth. That made the line longer but there were few people so it didn't bother me, it was just ironic that one of the booth wasn't working. But that is not why I am here today.
There was a young guy, about 18 or 19 who is helping explain the booths to the older adults, elderly, and generally anyone who needed or asked to know about how to use the booth. So I was surprised that he showed them how to use the booth by peeking into the booth with the person and pointing at how to use the booth. Well I was floored, when I seen this. I wonder who taught this young guy what to do? I was even more so suprised when it was my turn and it was done to me like every other person before me, and I didn't ask for help, and when he offered to help he came and peeked in and showed me how to use the booths voting system but he pointed at a particular party, a party that I was not voting for, but I was told by him, " ...you vote here , here, and here, and when I turn the booth on you will see the green 'X's' appear and after you're done, press the red button over here." I was shocked then, after that incident I told my mother discretely, and asked her to watch and see what he does when it was her turn and who he points at for you to vote. When my mother was done, and told me everything he did and it was the same that he did for me, and my father was the same. I had seen him do this before it was my turn, but didn't say anything because for one, I just woke up, and I wasn't in a confrontational mood, I didn't have my coffee yet, and two, if I told the other ladies there, how am I to know that it wasn't them who told him to do what he was doing. Ultimately I just wanted to leave and get online to find the New Jersey Division of Elections, and find a phone number who I can call. Well I found it but the line has been busy this morning and I can not get through but I will keep on trying.
Well I have a class and I have to go, I'm at my University now, and I just over heard a student mention something similar to what just happened to me. I might ask him about it, maybe.
Tell me if you have had any similar incidents, or if you didn't, or just tell me how your election day went. Either way the election goes, its History in the Making!!!!!
